Our students served as judges and victims for the Technical Rescue Competition. There were 5 scenarios and 5 teams. A storm caused us to have a 1.5 hour break in the action and made it into a long day.

Our students served as victims and bystanders (distractions) for the ALS Competition.

Sorry for getting behind on this. Here are pictures from the BLS competition where the student teams got their workout.

Two scenarios were outside and one was in a bathroom.

This day started with a class on Space Medicine. We then did a run to Walmart, practiced for scenarios, and had crawfish for dinner. We ended the night with more practice.

We got the backstage tour at NASA and then went to the boardwalk for dinner.

We arrived at 5:45 am. We were given a room to unload everything into and then had breakfast. We are headed to NASA at 9:00 am.

DO NOT BRING EXCESSIVE OR EXPENSIVE JEWELRY OR VALUABLES!!

--> Camera (Film, batteries, charger, etc.)
--> Swimming suit & Beach Towel
--> Sunscreen & aloe
--> Shorts & t-shirts
--> Baseball glove, Frisbee, hackisack, etc.
--> Warm clothes (just in case)
--> Jacket/sweatshirt
--> Appropriate sleepwear
--> Toiletries (deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
--> Clothing for Banquet:
Gals: semi-formal or formal dress
Guys: dress slacks/shirt, tie, and coat

--> Team uniform
--> Team equipment (labeled & neatly packed, splints tied)
--> Notebook & pens/pencils

--> Entertainment for van ride (music player, headphones, etc.)
--> Snacks
--> Money (for food..., souvenirs, entertainment, etc.)
{Traveler’s checks are a good idea}

--> IRECA membership card (will be provided)

--> YOU!!!!

A few of you (Steph, Ernest, Yee, Magen, Donna, & Amanda X) are missing waivers. You may have already filled one of these out in the past but I didn't find it on file. We also have a Code of Conduct thing. These MUST be done in order to go. I am will like here to last year's PDF and Word's DOC formats. We need these in order to get on the bus!
