OEC events are a wide range of hands on experiences for the students. At some, students teach or assist in 1st aid or CPR classes. Other events have students providing medical coverage for events such as little league hockey, Twin Cities Marathon, or basketball tournaments. We also provide some civic or charitable events such as working on adopt-a-highway or fundraising for adopt-a-family.
Time spent at events count toward required lab hours for the class, but many students surpass the required hours because they enjoy the unique opportunities that events provide.
