What is a Moulage?
What is a Moulage?

Moulaging involves the use of fake blood and make-up to simulate wounds to be treated in training scenarios. The moulaged victims usually act the part according to the situation and injuries. Other simulated emergencies will sometimes have victims not play the part. Some moulages are done as rotating stations that only have 1-2 patients. Others are set up as mass casualty incidents.

Moulages are done in our class at various points. In the Spring, we usually run a Mock Crash that illustrates the dangers and realities of drinking and driving. They are also put on to help train different agencies and we do several at during camp.
